At the body, front and back cream binding encompasses its historic silhouette, while a teardrop tortoiseshell pickguard in the style of the original J-45 hugs its modest rosette. A rosewood bridge with a compensated bone saddle and bone pins matches energy with the bone nut at the front of the mother-of-pearl-inlaid fingerboard, leading up to an “open book” headstock fitted with 3-on-a-plate open-back tuning machines with cream buttons. Concluding with a classic script-style Epiphone logo above the company’s tribute to Gibson’s iconic banner emblem, the 1942 Banner J-45 Reissue turns back the clock to ’42 with handsome, historic style.
